Japanese Cucumber Salad 

Another recipe in between posts as I muster up the words to beat this week’s writer’s block

Japanese Cucumber Salad 


  • 2 x cucumbers
  • 8 x sticks of surimi (crab flakes)
  • wakame (cold seaweed salad)
  • 1 x tbsp fish roe (pink fish eggs)


  • 2x tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 x tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 x brown sugar
  • 3 x tbsp water

Cut up and mix salad ingredients. Mix all the dressing ingredients into a saucepan and heat up until the sugar dissolves. Wait for it to cool and add to the salad.
